Spirit of an artist and the mind of a technician.

About Me

Currently studying sociology because I'm as fascinated by society as I am by technology. Well, certain aspects of society and technology. I'll add more to this overtime. My repos are mixed in with a bunch of forks from other users. If you want to know which are mine don't hesitate to ask.

Skills & Technologies

- 20 years of MacOS, a working knowledge of Windows, and an unexplainable fascination with Linux.
- Networking - focus on topography and automation.
- Cloud Computing - network design, topography, and security. Maintaining a work knowledge of each major provider.
- Documentation - if you can't explain the work in order for it to be reproduced by someone else then all of the time and effort spent will be a waste.
- Communication - verbal and written. It's becoming a lost art the ability to converse with another person.

Interests

- I consider myself a human editor for AI because vibe coder just comes with too many negatives. Also, I actually enjoy learning about specific aspects of AI which I feel most vibe coders and software engineers/true AI developers don't have enough respect for. I'm referring to the ethics of AI primarily focusing on accountability, privacy, transparency, and social impact.

Projects

- A web-based research platform wherein users can begin literary research utilizing cloud storage from a selection of providers, develop the design their intended study with an infinite canvas style editor, compile and store data gathered from the study in multiple file formats, and a documentation generator capable of generating citations and references from stored material and files.
- A portfolio of sorts for writing samples. I just can't make up my mind if I want to go through the trouble of actually making one from scratch, hosting files on Notion, or just using a template I find online.
- I'm always "vibe coding" something small in an attempt to create a tool of my own to use as part of my workflow. Nothing major - usually just a terminal based editor.

What I'm Learning Now

- Sociology
- Academic research and writing
- Additional markup languages for documentation generation
- Google AI Professional certification for an internship opportunity
- Though I'm no longer consider myself to be actively pursuing employment, I am still casually developing my coding abilities, but just for automation, scripting, and AI purposes.

Fun Fact(s)

- Life-long learner with an affinity for commonplace books.
- Bibliophile with a collection of literary fiction, fantasy, computing literature, and more than a few "That's a pretty cover." options to choose from.
- There's also my Boox and Kindle libraries, but even I can't keep up with that.
- Once upon a time, I played five instruments and was learningn to sing opera.
