I’ve been building and polishing small tools that make everyday workflows faster and more portable. I’ve been extending imgdedup with a newer persistent cache backend, while Circle-Generator has been getting a more self-contained build, modern TypeScript tooling, touch-friendly controls, and a cleaner interface. I’ve also been spreading that same portability mindset across a few projects I contribute to: php-jwk now has broader PHP-version CI coverage proposed, php-oidc has new CI work, and Secure-Pipes has an Apple Silicon build proposal. I keep coming back to the idea that when something is useful but awkward, the best answer is usually to make a concrete improvement and open it up for review. (github.com)
I’ve been thinking a lot about fixing problems directly instead of merely cataloging them: keep tools lightweight, make improvements reviewable, and preserve the human judgment that software is supposed to support.
