I'm a software developer from the Netherlands π³π±, currently working at Albert Heijn Technology. In case you've ever been to the Netherlands, you've probably noticed Albert Heijn is pretty hard to miss. π It's the country's largest supermarket chain and part of Ahold Delhaize, one of the world's largest food retail groups.
Most of my current work is around React and React Native π±, while I'm also getting more involved with Kotlin and Spring Boot. My broader experience spans frontend and backend development, including Python and Django.
I have a habit of getting curious about the systems underneath everyday things, which often turns into wondering how I might build them differently. I can get pretty excited about new possibilities, but I try not to confuse what's possible with what's necessarily better. I'm just as interested in the trade-offs and why existing solutions work.
I tend to build around things I care about or find interesting, whether that's a useful tool, an experiment, or something a little more elaborate than strictly necessary. That same drive took me from building tools for the Albert Heijn store where I worked to joining Albert Heijn Technology as a developer.
I'm probably disproportionately interested in theme parks, especially β¨ the Efteling β¨ π
I love how countless systems and small details come together into one experience, while also getting surprisingly excited about those little details themselves. That interest has a habit of finding its way into the things I build.
