Move tab close button to preferred side #135

Description

@ZoeBijl

Describe the bug
Tab close button remains on right side of tab when "Titlebar Buttons > Placement" is set to "Left" in GNOME Tweaks.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open GNOME Tweaks
  2. Navigate to "Windows"
  3. Scroll down to "Titlebar Buttons"
  4. Set "Placement" to "Left"
  5. See error

Expected behavior
I would expect the tab close button to move to the left as well. This is how it works in Web/Epiphany.

Screenshots

Result in Geopard:
Geopard window with two tabs. The titlebar buttons are placed on the left. The tab close button is on the right.

Expected result, as shown in Web:
Web window with two tabs. Both the titlebar and tab buttons are placed on the left.

Software info (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Fedora 43
  • Geopard: 1.7.0
  • GNOME: 49

Additional context
I filed this as a bug but might be better as a feature request.
